Default Unwanted Subscriptions

Somehow I'm getting subscribed to threads unnecessarily - they just appear in my email.

I've checked settings but can't see where I may be generating the subscription request. I deselected being notified if I am quoted which may be all it is now.

Can you disable subscriptions altogether for me please?

Brian:

Up at the top next to where you see Welcome, there is a link called Subscriptions. Click it. From there, you'll see your subscribed threads. You go to the far right of the screen, there's a box in the clay colored heading and the word Notification. click the box next to Notification. It will fill in a check mark in each of the boxes below it. Go to the bottom of the list, and you can click the arrow in the box next to "go to" and choose no email notifications. You can also choose "delete subscription."

Every time you post, you automatically get subscribed to that thread. You can click the link at the bottom of the email and unsubscribe, as well.

The Moderators aren't able to edit any part of your profile Brian. If you are unable it will have to be Admin or Cricket that does it. It seems to me that any threads you were subscribed to will keep coming to you but if the process went correctly you should receive no new ones. Don't forget to click the Save Changes button when you edit your profile or preferences.

Someone I consider a master woodworker once told me that a master woodworker is not someone who never makes mistakes. He is someone who is able to cover them up so that no one can tell.

I'll check but I'm pretty forum savvy and couldn't see any further choices to edit. I'll reiterate the need if it persists. Thanks!

PS: There is no Save button when you Delete Subscriptions. I deselected Email Notifications but the Subs still appear to be created(?)

If you want to default your auto subscription setting whenever you post to a thread, it's here: https://www.routerforums.com/profile.php?do=editoptions

Under "Messaging & Notification"

To process the Deletions of Subscriptions, hit the "Go" button
