Default Your assistance required.

A few years ago I asked for assistance and got a very good response, here I do it again, " for my stall at our village fete I provide projects for the very young children to do, they have to assemble a wooden project that I have pre-made"
I ask for ideas that the kids can do, before I got a Yo-Yo, and Harry suggested an aeroplane, they were both very well accepted, the latter has been ongoing in various forms, this year a Bi-Plane I hope.
I need some fresh ideas please, but remember the kids are very small and I have to make kits that they just glue and nail together, and in a very short time, so nothing too complicated both for me and them.
Thank you,in advance,
Derek.

Time sure does fly Derek, how about a ship about 100mm long, pre-shaped at the pointy end then a couple of pieces glued offset to each other to resemble a liner and a couple of angled holes for dowels representing funnels.

Now I think that might just work out well Harry! I'll do a dummy run soon.

I guess I'm a bit thick, I'm not sure what a jacob's ladder is, but remember that simplicity is foremost, and I only have between 2 and 3 hours in which to accomodate 70 t0 80 kids.

From wiki.

The description of Jacob's ladder appears in the Book of Genesis (28:11–19):

Jacob left Beersheba, and went toward Haran. He came to the place and stayed there that night, because the sun had set. Taking one of the stones of the place, he put it under his head and lay down in that place to sleep. And he dreamed that there was a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven; and behold, the angels of God were ascending and descending on it! And behold, the Lord stood above it [or "beside him"] and said, "I am the Lord, the God of Abraham your father and the God of Isaac; the land on which you lie I will give to you and to your descendants; and your descendants shall be like the dust of the earth, and you shall spread abroad to the west and to the east and to the north and to the south; and by you and your descendants shall all the families of the earth bless themselves. Behold, I am with you and will keep you wherever you go, and will bring you back to this land; for I will not leave you until I have done that of which I have spoken to you." Then Jacob awoke from his sleep and said, "Surely the Lord is in this place; and I did not know it." And he was afraid, and said, "This is none other than the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven."

Now we both know Derek. Perhaps Gav means ladders as used in budgie cages.

What would we do without you Bob. Me thinks that would be a little ambitious for youngsters and I'm sure that Gav wasn't serious. It looks to me like each piece is held in place with magnets, very interesting.
