Default Length of postings on "New Posts" page

I, for one, gravitate to the "new post" section of the web site first. I enjoy looking at the postings for some topics that I would not normally check out or didn't know I have an interest in, and then follow those threads to follow up with other discussions on the same topics.

It seems to me that the "new post" section is purged too soon for many of us to catch many of the new posts. I would respectfully suggest that rather than removing all but the last nine posts, a 24 to 48 hour limit on a new post be used. Or maybe a two page limit. I cannot check the postings as often as I would like, sometimes once ever couple of days, and am disappointed to visit the site and only find a handful of posts.

I think this site is a good help to those of us learning and possibly you have addressed this previously with good reason for the way it is done but this is my two cents. Thanks for the good work.

Ron,

I use ' View today's Posts ', that give up to 3 pages sometimes.

It should be based off your cookies, meaning if you don't visit the website for a month or so, that page will have 6-10 pages, whereas for me it would only be one. I could look into alternative solutions that index new posts differently.
