Talking New Staff Rank - Forum Liaison

Just setup the new forum rank for staff members. With the addition of this rank we hope to see more promotion of Router Forums.

What is the Forum Liaison rank?

A Community Liaison acts as a promoter and representative for Router Forums outside of the community. They still retain all Moderator privledges within the community and aid with resolution to member conflict but the main focus of their efforts are on the following:
  1. Building relationships with Vendors and Company Reps
  2. Reaching out to new Vendors and Company Reps
  3. Promoting Router Forums on other woodworking websites
  4. Thinking of, developing and managing ideas for new community features (ex; Member Videos)
  5. Reaching out to other woodworking websites and seeking link exchanges (for the link directory)
  6. More to be added in the future...

The first of which to be added is Mike

Thanks guys I figured I would let you all know so you aren't wondering about the new rank. Post any questions if you have them!

Mark,
Founder of RouterForums.com

Thanks guys. I think this will make it easier when communicating with companies; it let's them know who they are dealing with.

Bill, the concept is that the companies will know they are dealing with an ambassador representing the 68K members of the forums. This should make getting results on problems easier. I am encouraging them to add Company Rep's to answer questions about their products and support. I hope to garner more support for the forums from them such as more contests or special discounts for forum members. Other than that I am just a part of the Moderation Team.

Congrats Mike

It sounds like one of the things they do at the work 20, going to give you a new name, the pay is the same and you will need to put in more hours but you have a new name.
But I know you like to help members and do a great job at it..
