Default What do you want?

Like the title asks, what would you most like to see on the forums? BJ has expressed a common request, to get the plans for the 1000 - 1400 series shows online for download. Who would you like to hear Rick chat with on his audio blog? Should we have a section for Template Tom to teach about using guide bushings and templates? Videos showing how to build a table and / or projects? These are questions for you to answer... what do you want?

Hi Mike

I know this is a hard one, but jigs/templetes that Bob and Rick use on the shows.
It can be just a snapshot of the jig with the just measurements in the snapshot and a small how to setup it up and use the jig/templetes.

The one that comes to mind is the stairs, both types.
I know Bob shows how to make the templetes in show but it's not the same as a black & white one we can print out as a hard copy. .

An excellent suggestion BJ. I know my local lumber yard has a template they loan out when customers buy the supplies for building stairs. It would be nice to have your own.

It's possible to get pictures of Bob and Rick's jigs, I would do it, although I don't have enough time to...

Yes to all of the above. I read a lot about the jigs and ways to do some of the things you guys talk about but sometimes have a hard time visualizing how to do it (a picture worth a thousand words) mainly my fault I know. And I don't want to take anything away from Bob and Rick since I think they are tops with the router but I would defentally be interested in Tom's templates that he uses.

Another "yes" to all of the above, I am a novice with the router as far as any kind of "furniture" type of stuff goes. John

All of the above Mike! I would agree with Bob though, some info on jigs would be great and I would love to hear more about template routing.

Corey

When you actually get to see the show on PBS, it is only about 20 minutes long. Bob and Rick briefly explain what the jig does. Seldom have I seen how the jig is made. Like all of the others, more detail. I work every other Saturday and that is the day RW is on my local PBS stations and sometimes only 1 Saturday a month. Please, make Rick a bigger contributor to this site. -Derek
