Default Safety week contest

Next week is safety week and we are long overdue for a forum contest. I am opening this to discussion: your ideas for a contest please? The goal is to increase safety awareness. Let us hear your thoughts on this.

Our friends at Micro Jig are offering a nice prize for the contest. The winner will receive a Micro Jig splitter for their table saw. You can view this excellent safety device here: Micro Jig | MJ Splitter? System

Does " Stay out of the shop" count? lol
I'm gonna try that on with wifey; "It's dangerous in there, Dear...you don't want to see me get hurt do you?"
....of course she could say the same about the kitchen. Bad idea.

Keep all body parts away from all whirly parts?

To be honest, I have not a clue on what a safety contest entry would be; some of the things I do other people consider unsafe, but I pay a lot (a LOT) of attention to what/how I do things, and stay safe. So would this call for safety rules, making safe jigs, what? I would be willing to enter, not expecting to win, but I'm at a total loss about it all.

Lessons learned would be one idea; Hopefully prevent someone else from making the same mistake.

Good idea on Safety Week, making it a contest with a winner is a tough one. My random thoughts are since this a router forum make it relate to the use of a router.... either a particular practice or a set of steps used when using a router.... a jig used in routing to make a cut safe.... an accessary to use when routing.

Tough to make a contest dealing with safety. At work the contest (s) are based on time with out an accident.

Good idea Mike. I hope you can make a contest out of it,

How about STUPIDITY HURTS and the term " adding insult to injury " means it's especially embarrassing when you knew better.

Here is an important lesson to all those who read this thread and did not bother to post in it: Theo, Micro Jig loved your quote and you are the contest winner. Now wasn't that painless? PM me your shipping information and your choice of the standard 1/8" model or the thin kerf model. Congrats!
