Default Strange email from RouterForums.com

Today I received a strange email from RouterForums.com with the subject entitled:

"What will you make this spring?"

Well I don't know about you guys but I never plan that far ahead - I'll worry about that once I get through autumn and winter.

On another note I was watching the news a few weeks ago and noticed they were having snow in parts of North America - snow in summer? who ever heard of such a thing?

That's the problem with people in the northern hemisphere - they have everything back arseward!

Cheers from Oz.

We're blaming the weather here on the lack of marsupials in the country. Care to share a few 'roos or koalas? Heard your summer has been breaking records for heat. Hope things improve.

I'm in Florida so we don't get snow, just the occasional tornado, hurricane, alligators and snakes, lots of snakes that aren't native. "Why does it have to be snakes" - Indiana Jones

Gary, this is the first attempt in a couple years to get a newsletter out. It will get sorted out for next month. Did you find your email in your spam folder like I did?

LOL I don't think we are allowed to export (living) kangaroos, but here are some videos of some who come to visit me from time to time
The unruly mob that have moved in next door - YouTube
Mother and child - YouTube
Big blue amongst the mob next door - YouTube

I have seen 4 red belly black snakes come through my property over the last 2 years which means they do that considerably more often

On another occasion a big brown kangaroo decided he liked my backyard, at first he was easily shooed off, but over time he became more bold and eventually decided he didn't want to go at all at stood up to me assuming the fighting stance you can see in one of these videos - when they do that the big ones are well over 6 feet high - a scary sight - time to back off and get the hose out. You don't mess with these fellows - they can easily rip your intestines out with the sharp claws on their feet - fortunately they are normally very docile.

No crocodiles or Koalas here though - but plenty of wombats in the area.

Weather events tend it get exaggerated these days for some reason (hmmm I wonder why that might be?). It has been a warmish summer but I would estimate I have only lost about a week of "shop" time due to high heat - which is about the norm. Other parts of the country have had it tougher - notably Adelaide but it has hot summers all the time.

On one occasion I was preventing meeting up with friends for dinner in Sydney because the highway was cut by bushfire (wild fire) - that was about the worst of it.

Absolutely fabulous weather here at the moment - and it actually gets better during late autumn and much of the winter. Plenty of shed time!

Hi Mike, no it came through fine but I had to chuckle when I saw subject heading and though I would have a bit of a laugh.

Perhaps we could have two newsletters? One for the Northern Hemisphere and one for the Southern. But then I suppose the members on the equator would complain. Just kidding ;-)

I suppose in a month or so we will be in that short window where the weather is reasonably similar between the two 'spheres - I wonder if there will be a spike in forum activity as a result? Nah, I think the northern 'sphere members out number us by a fair margin and we will be lost in the "noise". ;-)

Mike, I just received an email from routerforums containing just CRAP, what the hell is it all about? By the way, it landed in my junk folder!

Growing pains Harry, someone not familiar with the forums is handling our new newsletter. It will be sorted out soon.

Is there a way to opt out of emails like that? When I want news or info from the router forum, I'll visit the site.
