Default Screen Links suddenly not working

Within the last week when I try to link to messages that I receive in my daily e-mail, the browser goes to the mail lobby page rather than going to the posting I have selected. My registration looks fine and it sign's me in, but I then have to look for the link, which I had selected. I can't seem to find anything wrong except that links don't seem to be working any longer.

Lets back just a bit to try to sort this out...

You said "Mail" in all your references. This forum does not have emial, but does have Private Messages, which for a new member are blocked until they have a post count of 10. This is to prevent spammers, So this 10 post count is a privilege of membership. That post count also applies to posting pictures, links and making posts in the classified section.

Things as they are set up here, this post, the one that you started this thread with, is your 10th post... So you should not have been able to use Private Messages until after that post in this thread... (after post #10 for you.)

Is that the system you were referring to? If so, that should work for you now. If not, please try to describe what link you were trying to use from what page.

"Don't worry, I saw this work in a cartoon once."

We receive an e-mail every day, with an index and a body. When you clicked on an index bullit, it jumped to the corresponding body text. Now when you click on the index bullit it opens a webpage to the routerforum's homepage

The daily e-mail looks like this (partial only):

Default Let me clarify

When I open the page as described with the listing of all new postings my clicking on the subject I am interested in reviewing, it is taking me to the sites opening page listing all of the forums. Previously it would take me to the member's question so that I could review responses to the question. This worked much faster than going to the home page and then searching for the questions to seek a response.

I moved this thread to our Site Help and Suggestions forum. For future reference, if you are having trouble with the site, that is the area to ask for help so that I am more likely to see it.

Let me check on this for you.

Do you access your notifications from a computer, tablet, or phone?

Is this happening to anyone else?

Not to me; still going to the specific thread...which is sort of funny as I just use it as a convenient way to get to the day's thread listings. Basically exactly what John's complaint is. Tradesies?

The bulleted intro works for me as John described. When I scroll down to the post abstract of the article and click on that title, it takes me directly to the post.

If more than was person is having the issue and others are not, we need to find out what they have in common so that we can get to the bottom of it.

Are all of you accessing email through your computer or are you using a tablet or phone?

What email client are you using? (Gmail? Yahoo? Etc)
