Exclamation Country added!

There is something new, I have added the country field!

About time, huh?

Well, basically as you can see, everytime a user posts his/her country will be shown to the left under the "User Info" box.

<- Wow!

If you have no set it up, it will not show.

Visit: http://www.routerforums.com/profile.php?do=editprofile

Then, input the name of your country. The new country field will appear during the registration process. It is a require field so new users will all have this when they successfuly register!

Enjoy!

Great Mark! That's a neat addition. Now we won't have to guess where everybody is from.

Nice Mark. Now if there was a Name field, say for first names. Personally I like to call someone by their given name and not the registered name. But then we are going to run out of room in the user info box. So, you're from Canada. HUH?

Like most good ideas, once it's thought of you can't help thinking "now why didn't someone think of it before"
I also agree with Dave, (don't I nearly always), I hate to address people by anything but their given name, it's so impersonal as I have mentioned in answers on several occasions.

Mark,
I agree with Dr.Zook. Although the handles are ok, most of the discussions that go on here tend to be closer to each person than, say, a bulletin board. Its more one on one. I think first names are more appropriate for this site.

Ok Mark, I was kindda kidding about the name field. It should be up to the person if he or she wants to sign their post with a name. I just feel it is more friendly and personal to use first names. Besides it is easier to type Mike than it is aniceone2hold.
To each his or her own.
