Default Windows 10 (Edge) Image Drag and Drop Failure

I just had a problem trying drag and drop a picture from my Windows 10 machine to post on this site. Has anybody had success posting a picture from Windows 10 here on this site? It could be operator error. On the quick replay using Windows 10 I see under this text box I see "Drag and Drop File Upload" on the left side. In the middle I see in gray letters "Drag Files Here to Attach" . When I try to drag my jpg picture I get a red circle with a red line across it saying no. I have uploaded jpg pictures in the past with Windows 7.

I dragged a handful of pictures without any problem.

Wait a sec.... It worked using the Internet Explorer browser, not the Edge browser...

I'll have to pass that on to Cricket!

PS- the picture is from the Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta. Definitely worth a visit.

If the 'Drag to' box is grayed out, scroll down below 'Additional Options' and select 'Manage Attachments', point to the file(s) and then press 'Upload'.

I found manage attachment under advanced. I was able to post several pictures. The orientation was wrong on all of them. The first one was upside down. It looked right on my computer so I decided to save the picture upside down on my computer. When I uploaded again the picture was still up side down. I guess it is possible the second upload did not happen as the system may have thought it was smarter and the image was already there.

Drag and drop not working via Edge with Windows 10 for me.

Use regular attachment method while I look into this.

Read somewhere that MS will soon release a fairly big update for 10 so maybe that will correct it. In any case I would make contact with MS so they know the problem is out there. All new software has bugs and takes a while to shake them all out. Is your computer on the list of those approved to run Win 10? Some not listed will run Win 10 but will have various problems show up.

Would mind righting my images on the thread "cutting down an oak dowel" . I was not able to get the orientation correct as they are upside down and on their side. If you could just right them it would better in the thread.

FWIW, my son advised me to wait a while on downloading MS 10 to allow them to get the bugs out of the system. No hurry as I have MS 7 and it works fine.

I'm a late adopter on Microsoft OS upgrades. I'll let the pioneers take the arrows, thank you. Win 7 is a good, stable OS that will be supported until 2020. By then OS 10 is likely to be very stable and then you'll have to choose between 10 and 11, knowing Micro$oft. Oh, and you'll probably have to buy all new, compatible software.
