Can someone tell me why after years of working all of a sudden the router forum emails that go out are too big for my screen? How do I fix this? I am tired of scrolling from side to side to read a post. Thanks

Did you hold the Cntrl key and roll the mouse scroll button forward/

Hold the Cntrl key and roll the scoll button back to see if that changes the setting.

I believe it is caused by the size of attached images. If the images are wider than your window, then the text wraps to that width, instead of the window width. I find it irritating too, Chuck, but it doesn't happen all the time here.

Hi,

Can you please take a screenshot of what you are seeing so that I can show this to our tech team to see if this is something that we can tweak so you don't have to scroll or hit cntrl?

Cheers,
Sheena

I think Paul may be right. There are no picture attachments today and every thing is fine.

Sheena I'll try to remember to take a screen shot but basically this happens when an attachment is wider than your mail program's window. So let's say you're viewing your mail at 1000 pixels wide and there's a picture that's 1600 pixels wide. The text wraps to the 1600 instead of 1000. Then you need to scroll to read each line.

I'm not sure if mail programs obey CSS. If they do, maybe something like: "img { max-width: 1000px; }" would help. If the height isn't specified I believe the picture will stay proportional, so that it doesn't look squished. Maybe this: "img { max-width: 100%; }" would adjust to the viewers window. Of course this all assumes that mail programs observe CSS.

Hi,

I know that the tech department has been fiddling with the newsletter system, so when/if this happens again, let me know. Hopefully they have figured this out, but if not the information that you provided will be really helpful.

Cheers,
Sheena
