Question confusion regarding making new posts

I've just spent the last 1/2 hr looking through various screens for a "quick" way to start a new post.
I finally gave up and used this:
Router Forums > Router Forums Community > Introductions > Post New Thread

Really--- there MUST be a better way.

Sooooooo if someone out there can enlighten me?!?!

Cricket????

Each category on the home page has a button that says "Post New Thread".

Someone I consider a master woodworker once told me that a master woodworker is not someone who never makes mistakes. He is someone who is able to cover them up so that no one can tell.

nope not on mine
my "home" page has:
Home, Forums, Active topics, new posts, gallery, tools

with various drop downs

"Home" gives me a picture of the jointer & other messages

forums gives me---Router Forums,General Woodworking, RF Community, Site Supporter--etc
Active topics gives you just that
etc, etc

So I must be missing something ???

Click the 'FORUMS' drop down (Next to "HOME") and navigate to a specific forum, i.e. 'FORUMS -> Router Forums -> General Routing'. This is where you'll find the button for "Post New Thread".

You get the home page when you click on the Routerforums logo. Most of us skip it and go straight to this page. Or do like Jeff. If you see a subforum you want to investigate and someone has posted from it you can shortcut to it by clicking on it, like General Routing or the Lobby for example.

Might be a good idea to post directions on starting a new thread in an existing group at the bottom of the daily email, as a signature line. Maybe add a link to a start page?

I'll ask Cricket to have a look at it.
