Default Getting Email Notifications...

G'evening @Cricket ,

Even though the option under "Default Thread Subscription Mode" is set to "No email notification", I still get emails from Routerforums for replies to subscribed threads...

Did I not select the right option in the right place...?

Thanks in advance...Nick

Nick

@Nickp

Hi Nick
I'll answer until cricket gets here. That option appears to handle new posts by you or replies to other threads.
There is another option under "List Subscriptions". Check that area for any threads you've already subscribed to.

Hope that helps.

Apparently I was subscribed to a bunch of older threads and so even though I opted out of emails, the older threads were still keeping me informed.

I was also set to be subscribed automatically to threads I reply to...changed that...

So this might take care of me...

...and thanks John (Semipro)...and Vince...

Thanks Vince, I was just about to post the same question when I spotted this.

I went into subscriptions and marked them all and I hope this works. I have the same problem at another forum that appears to be the same software so I did the same thing there.

JohnnyB60, you're still subscribed to receive instant emails, did you want to change it to subscribe with no notifications?

I want instant email notifications for everything, but I am still not receiving them. I looked at the subscriptions and they are not checked. I thought if I checked them I would get the notifications, but they disappear as soon as I leave the page.

I've been trying get this fixed for at least a year on two different wood working forums. I don't have any trouble with any of my other forums.
