Talking New Thread Rating

You can now rate threads based on their content and information.

It's an extremely simple system. When you open a thread, at the top will be options to rate the thread.

Excellent - Top notch content and information
Good - Quality information and good input / feedback
Average - Decent content, average information
Bad - Nothing of use
Terrible - Not even worth looking at.

See the attached images to understand what I mean.

When you rate an image, your rating for that thread will be saved in the system.

To view the top rated threads, simply click the "Rating" link when you're viewing a forum.

For example, visit: http://www.routerforums.com/routerfo...news-feedback/

Along the top above the sticky posts you will see links like:

Thread / Thread Starter
Rating
Last Post
Replies
Views

Simply click the "Rating", and they will be sorted.

The more stars, the better the content. So every thread you're in, rate it so others know!

Check the smilies when replying to a message Mark. 2 or 3 didn't seem to work.

A quick observation on this marking system. Each of us view things through different eyes, and what I think is good content, may be a hill of beans to another person.

I had some teaches that were pretty hard markers and others who gave the school away.

Just a thought.

Very good point John, unfortunately there is no way to compensate for that. We can only trust those who provide the ratings.
