We are always glad to hear about a company standing behind it's products. I am sure our UK members appreciate the information.

I am glad it worked out for you, sometimes those situations can get downright frustrating.

If you pursue your problem enough you will usually get satisfaction, 3 years ago I bought a small planer thicknesser, I had many problems with the secondary drive belt,(the one that drove the rollers) either coming off or breaking, I bought several, and then complained, they picked it up fixed it in the workshop and sent it back.
All o/k until I tried on pieces of 4" to 6" tmber, belt broke, by now it was out of warranty, I just stopped using it, some months later I read about The Sale Of Goods Act, it stated that the customer had redress for up to 6 years, I wrote a very forceful letter, had a phone call offering to collect it and repair it, I refused and demanded a new one, "It is out of warranty" they said, I quoted the act again, I received a new one within four days and the old one was collected. Very nice machine it is now.

A local bank lost a couple of my parents CDs, they spent hours with them with paperwork as proof that they existed. Sorry can't help you we have no records they ever existed! The person my mother works for wedged it out of her, I guess they were worth lots of money.

The owner of the company Ma works for, (a motel/Motor Inn) also has their account at the same bank. The owner called the bank on Ma's behalf, ID'd herself, asked for manager, sorry busy, have him call me in 10 minutes or I pull the Motel account, bank manager called back, find records or I pull account. One hour later the records miraculously appeared.

How come they couldn't find them for Ma but could for Motel?
