Default last projects

Well its been a long run but the last door is installed and the kitchen is back in use. The wood is cherry and face frame construction and euro hinges i would post more pictures but can't figure out how to upload to a gallery the chair was built to test my skills prior to tearing apart the kitchen.

Yes the table and chess board were my first ever the chess pieces are from Toy's R Us.

Very nice work Tim, I would think sitting in that chair would give one a big sense of satisfaction.

Very nice work. Love the way the wood grain stands out.
The chair & table means you are a "mortise & tenon" expert.
I the chess set also something you made?

The cabinets are cherry plywood boxes where the glass is with solid wood face frames and door frames. The other cabinets are birch boxes to make it lighter inside and resawn panels.

The chair and table are both mortise & tenon the mortises were cut with a harbor freight mortise press and the tenons with a table saw and hand plain. The finish is orange shellac applies with a rag and hand rubbed between coats. The upholstery was with the help of my mom and her quilting experience. The chess board is from wood from childhood haunts and memories. the pieces ere Toys R Us
