Default A bit of Help Needed...

Years ago I made a really big Router Table which has served me well for ages, well up until I had to dismantle the top from the base, and stand it on its edge, with the cold winter and lack of heat in the workshop the top is now no longer flat and has a nice dip in the Center of it....

I can make another, and maybe improve it as well but I have been thinking of purchasing the UJK Cast Iron Pro Table top from Axminster here in the U.K. and then use my good old Kreg lift and Kreg Pro Fence with it, but I have run into a slight problem.

All of the UJK stuff is EXACTLY the same as the Kreg stuff, except for where I am having a problem. The Cast Iron UJK Pro table has 2 support runners, 1each side of the router table, the Kreg one only has 1 on the right hand side, the left had side of the Kreg fence fits into a slot on the left of the table, but the Cast Iron table from UJK comes with a left hand support track the mirror of the right hand one. These are exactly the same as the Kreg version...

Does anyone out there know where I can purchase a mirror of the right hand side aluminium extrusion, I have tried local but it’s been a total struggle and Axminster who is the supplier of UJK equipment have been very unhelpful especially as I am trying to spend a small fortune with them, and using my own fence and lift will save me around £400 GBP, but the part that I am after will I am sure be just a few £’s, it all helps, and from my reasearch it looks like without this I will not be able to use the Kreg fence with this table top, well not accurately anyway...

If anyone knows where I can get the small lump of aluminium from I would be forever in there debt...

Kind regards

if it is the black extrusion you are looking for you just may need to purchase an entire fence...

Those look like bolt on tracks like I put on my Eagle American router fence.

You might be able to adapt these:

Maybe contact Kreg and see if you can buy another end clamp that you can adapt to the other end of the fence.

Or maybe you can buy 2 UJK fence guides and adapt them to your Kreg fence.
Or sell the kreg fence nd buy the UJK fence with guide rails.

Just some suggestions.

I found the Jessem site which has all sorts of parts and pieces to adapt your router fence to your new table top.

Look down the right hand column for options.

james, youre going to be struggling here. this site is almost all american / canadian, with a couple of ausies thrown in. No more than 2 from the UK active at the moment. Any advice you get will be to buy from USA, with horrendous shipping costs.

i'm english ex-pat living in cyprus and buy a lot of stuff from axminster, which has a fantastic service department.
BUT... you are asking them to agree that you can fit other make stuff to their stuff, and even worse, that you can modify their stuff with home made bits.
That leads to massive insurance claims down the road, and is why you wont get a straight answer from them, or any other company with any sense.

If the ujk table is big enough for you, then buy it and make whatever you need to get your stuff to fit.
I found the UJK to be a bit small, and made my own table almost a metre square

BUT, I have the UJK pro fence with the micro adjusters, and T tracks and mitre track, and their pro mitre fence that fits my bandsaw as well as the router table, and even their clamps, and all work well.
I made my own lift for pennies out of scrap bits.
I suggest you buy the whole kit and then sell your kreg stuff to recoup some of the outlay.
