Default Router Table

Hello.

My name is David and I am new to the router forum. The question I would like to ask is in your opinion what is the best tried and tested router tables for sale today complete with adjustable fences. I am in the UK so I can probably only obtain from international companies, mores the pity!

Thanks David.

Greetings David, and welcome to the forum, we are glad that you are here.

Regarding store bought router tables someone else will comment on that. For my part I have built my own table, you can see it in my gallery. There are several companies that you can purchase the needed components for. If you decide to build your own, you will get lots of help from the forum, just a thought,

Hi, David, and welcome.

As to tables, "best" is highly subjective, and I have no idea what you have available in the UK. There is, however, considerable discussion in the Table-mounted section that might prove helpful.

Welcome to the Forums, David. There is no direct answer to your question, since this is such a personal thing. It all depends on what you are looking to do with your table. Some feel that they need all the bells and whistles available on their table and others only want just the basics. So. Just step back and ask yourself what you really need and go from there. Here is a link to a review of 9 tables by Workbench Magazine. You can download a PDF of the reviews so you can stare and compare...

Hope this helps.
