Lightbulb Router Table

I would like to build a router table, but I can't find a convenient place to get laminate or some kind of material for the top and fence.

I had the same problem. I found a local cabinet shop that sold me some of their cut off...enough to laminate both the top and the bottom of the top and a fence for $10. You might try to find one near you that will do the same thing.

Bill (and welcome to the forums!)

Greetings Jeff and welcome to the forum, you can find MDF board and laminate at Home Depot, Lowe" etc. If you do not have one close by checking out a local lumber yard.

Check out some of the galleries here to see what others have done. Your insert you can get from Harbor Freight at a very good price. Look around and you'll find what it is you are looking for.

Thanks Jerry. I've been to my local HD and Lowes, and both places said that any laminate is special order. I do have an insert and am practicing cutting the whole for it.

Look up the yellow pages for Bench top manufactures. The large ones usually have a large White Elephant Shed with reject tops of all sizes They let them go for a song
