Default Inexpensive router table

In the June issue of "Woodworkers Journal" page 34-38 is a article on building a router table at a minimal cost, and uses a plunge base for a router lift. I cannot say much about it as I do not wish to sick the copyright gods on myself but it is one to add to our places to send folk for the information.

I checked their web page and it is mentioned but not written up yet, may be in a few months. Anyway it is a good article to check out.

BTW the apical end with a Bench Dog advertisement on page 39 thought that was interesting. Article states you don't have to buy an expensive router table.

you can use a piece of scrap plywood clamped to your bench with the router screwed directly to it if you want. for a fence just use a flat 2x4 clamped to the board

doesnt matter really what it is as long as its flat

I just thought that if some one were interested they might could pick one up at a news stand.

Mike you are correct, where there is a will there is a way, and that is sure one way to go. I think one of the fellas here on the forum did something close to that and turned out some fine work,

Is this it? Sounds extremely simple by the description. (I tried downloading the PDF, but I can't open it for some reason)
