Default Frued 3000vce for under mount

Hi Im new to the forums and was wondering if anyone has mounted the freud 3000vce in a table.I have been looking for a 3 1/4 hp plunge router to use both in a router table and out.This one caught my eye because of the above table height adjustment.The only thing is a can not find alot of feedback on it..any help would be appreciated or any other recommendation would be help

Hi Tom, welcome to the forum.
I'm pretty sure a couple of guys in here have the 3000 table mounted. Looks like a nice router and they don't seem to be terribly high priced either. I have two of it's baby brothers, one for the table and one for hand work. Pretty happy with both except the plunge mechanism on the 1700 likes to hang up a little more than I think it should.

I've got one ! I've just gotten it set up and usable, it takes a 10 mm hex (allen wrench) to adjust the height. I am going to use a long hex bit and ratchet (so it clears the fence) for adjusting. Also,the same hex size is used to lock the shaft when changing bits (from above) I'm quite happy with it.
