Default JessEm?

I was at the Rockler in Orange Ca. today & made a comment to one of the sales staff that I noticed they didn't have any JessEm router table equipment. He told me they stopped carrying them. He said he thought that they were going under.

I did a search on Google & found nothing out of the ordinary?

Have a nice & safe day!

Jessem customer service has gone from top notch to bottom of the Barrel. Some of their products are okay if you can accept a router table top that is bowed. This router table top and lift is a replacement for another table i had purchased almost one year ago. Promises after promises and nothing gets done. Telling me that they are waiting for a screw ,,,,taking almost 2 months to arrive then it was they are building the product and then another month goes by ,,,,then finally it is completed and is being shipped to me,,,this was just before xmas......About 2 weeks after xmas i called to tell them i have not received the product and the reply was they are waiting for a screw.....Unreal. That is when i lost it.....Not only are they playing games, now they are resorting to lies. Im not sure what it is that is happening with them but all i can say is that they should be ashamed of themselves to treat people in this way. After some 30 or so phone calls over a period on one year and im no further ahead. I am taking this opportunity to let all my woodworking friends that they should know to be careful with this company. All I can say is , yes they once produced high end equipment but today after many bad business decisions the products that they producing can be used as very good paper weights. Add to this horrible customer service and you have yourself a company that should close up shop and go to work for someone else, someone who knows how to run a business.

A couple of years ago I purchased a "Rockler" Mast R lift an PC 7518 motor combo.

The lift was a rebranded Jessem in Rockler blue

The combo was on sale at almost close-out prices so I suspect that was when Rockler and Jessem parted ways.

Can't speak to the health of Jessem but it appears that Benchdog is the new Rockler squeeze

I too bought a Jessem fernce and miter at Rockler a couple of years ago. The guy that owned the store (franchise) told me that the contract between Rockler and Jessem was up and would not be rewnewed. He also said that if I had any problem with the fence and miter that I had better contact Jessem quickly, because their customer service was going down the tubes. I had some problems with the two fence facings being different thicknesses and after severel weeks and calls, i got tired of dealing with whoever answered the phone. I called and immeadiatly aseked for her supervisor. When the supervisor called me baack two days later, I asked for his supervisor and fifnally had two new facings fedexed to my house overnight. I like the fence and miter, but would be careful of any other purchases from them.

More than a squeeze, I think. I believe that Rockler actually bought the BenchDog company a couple of years ago. It's entertaining to watch Rockler and Woodcraft try to out-maneuver each other.

I read these comments about Jessem customer service, and have to wonder if there haven't been big changes, since my experience just a week ago was great.

Like a lot of other companies they tried to lower costs by having several of their products manufactured in China! They closed their plant in Tennessee & sold all the equipment asset-sales They also closed a plant in Canada & consolidated it with another plant just down the street. After a lot of complaints they are now in the process of re-tooling the closed plant in Canada & starting to manufacture more of their products in Canada.
