Post somerfeld router table

This router table cost about 1,400.00 including accessories. I recently attended a somerfeld seminar very impressive machine. My question, is their a router table comparable for less cost?

Hi Randy

Yes, you can still get the older model, just my 2 cents it's a better one than the newer one.. ,Amazon runs sales on them and you can get it for 350.oo or less

Amazon.com: CMT 999.500.02 Industrio Router Table System with Precision Fence, Phenolic Insert, Cabinet, Zero Clearance Inserts, Centering Tool and Insert Plate with 2 Aluminum Rings: Home Improvement

The newer version is only different in the way that, it now has the above table adjustment option just like the 2 1/4 model does. BTW, the newer model is cheaper at Sommerfeld's site than what amazon's sales are.

For the table, I'd say yes it is.

That is a lot to pay for a router table. My first table was simply a board I secured to the bench. That was some 40 years ago. I have since learnt new routing techniques with the aid of the template guides
