Default Bosch 1617evs and PRL v2

After some research here I decided to start a new thread on the above combo. I like the whole concept behind the PRL v2 (lifts in general) and have been thinking about this with a PC 7518 as a combo for some time. Since I presently have a PC7539 as a table mount I decided to research the 1617evs and PRL as a second table and leave the 7539 as is thus saving me some expense. A second table would come in handy, especially when making cabinet doors (one setting for R&S and one for the panel cutter). Rather than continually changing bits and making height adjustments I decided to utilize my Bosch 1617evs with the PRL in the second table mount. My question is has anyone experienced any issues with this combo? Bit changing above the table for example?

Hi Paul,

I'm fairly new to the forum and I just saw your thread. The Woodpecker Co. tells me the Porter Cable 690 and the Bosh 1617 can't change the bit above the table using the PRL-V2. However it can be done using a collet extension. I ordered mine today.

John is correct PLUS you'll need to order the proper pads for the smaller diameter router motor. The PRL V2 is sized for the larger motor routers 4.20" diameter.
