Default switch plates?

wife wants wooden switch and plug plates. how do i go about that. i'm guessing a pin router? 1/8 inch bit to cut out the holes? never used a pin router befor.any pitfalls or advice? thanks much

Hi

The pin router will do a fine job making wooden switch and plug plates.
OR
SEE snapshot below,it will copy just about anything,plus you can use the 1/16" router bits if you want,or put in flutes plus much more.
