Default Bench Dog Pro Top Contractor bit opening

In reading the brochure on this table all I could find where it mentioned the insert size was 2 inches, but no mention of others. So I called to ask them and the tech support guy said the opening is indeed fixed at 2" and the that size is it-the table doesn't accept other sizes.

Is that indeed the case and has that worked out OK for any of you that own this table?

I don't know about the BDP cont table, limiting the throat to 2" seems a bit restrictive. But considering that there are many vertical panel bits out there it might not be an issue if you're will to go vert.

I have the BD Pro lift, it comes with 3 inserts, the smallest opening reduces to 2" and it has the ability to accept inserts, (plastic I think), I never bought any of the zero clearance inserts.

To change the subject a bit, have you considered building your own table? There are many free and pay for prints that'll give you much bang for the buck.
