Default Need router for table I am planning to build

I am planning to build Norm Abram's router table but need advice for a router suitable for this first class table. I read a review in Finewoodworking on the Triton MOF001KC that suggested it was the best (also reviewed Bosch 1617EVS, Freud FT1700VCEK, and Porter Cable 891; see attachment) with only the caveat that the max base diameter is 3 1/8 inches.

Any feedback on the Triton? Any other suggested routers? Is a 3 1/8 in opening a problem.

"Is a 3 1/8 in opening a problem " well yes and no ,if you look around many of the normal panel bits will not work in the table

Well, here is where I will show my ignorance, the hole in the base of the router is only 3 1/8", but couldn't I make the hole in the table as large as needed?
