Default Base Plate cutout

Is a 2" cutout too large for the center hole? I do plan for a guard, but am concerned if that large hole will let too much dust fall on the router. At this time budget does not allow a vaccuum system.

Thanks

Do you have any vacuum with a hose on it? Doesn't have to be a shop vac.

What dia are your biggest bits. Some of mine are over 3" dia. I use reducing rings to suit the bits.
