Default Freud Router Table

I recently picked up the freud router table package special and Woodcraft, as i was in "need" of both a new router and table. Anyways, I have quickly become annoyed with the fence system, specifically the screw mounts. There are thee nut inserts in the table, and the fence mounts to these and can slide in a groove int he fence base. I've been thinking of pulling these inserts out and routing a groove for t-track in to make it easier / infinitely adjustable. Any thoughts or suggestions? Wish i would have found this prior, I would have probably built my own and saved $$.

I too have recently purchased the same combo deal... I'm still trying to figure out if I got a good geal or not! Did you use the stand that came with it? I could not get mine to go together it was such a piece of junk, so I finally ended up just mounting the table top and router in one of my roll-around work benches (I actually like this way better tho!)

I have not used it a whole lot yet, but yes, the hold-down bolts are kinda a pain as it seems to me that as soon as I get close to having it adjusted, I have to switch to a different set of holes! I like the idea of the 'T' track so you would have a continous track to adjust in... please let me know if you try it and how it works! Other than that, I have no suggestions for you, sorry! Overall, I still think the package was a good deal, but I feel I shouldn't have to 'tweak' something brand new so much.

have a great day!

I have zero complaints about the package as a whole, my stand assembled quickly and square right away, though drilling the top for mounting was a little nerve racking. The router is more than i need now, but can grow into it. I found a good price on incra t-track plus, with the measuring marks, so i plan to add it this weekend, after i beef up the under side of table to compensate for loss of material. I also thought about putting additional threaded inserts in the top, between the factory inserts to add "available" mounting points but figure t-track is infinite and best option for me.
