I'm probably calling it by a wrong name, I want to build a blanket chest and want a joint to use to join the 4 sides of the chest ,other than a miter joint. I'm new to this so I'm probably using the wrong terms.
Thanks

Greg

Hi Greg

" wrong term " I call that joint and snap off joint, you may want to take a look at the joint below. it will not snap off and you can hide the end grain,a one stone thing.

Router Workshop: hidden mitre joint

Some will say you can use the lock miter joint bit the same way but the lock miter is easy to set and use.
