Default router tables..need advise...

I'm getting my feet wet in woodworking and want to purchase a router table. I've looked around and am thinking about either a table from woodpeckers or incra. I like the incra with the LS fence, do to it seems like most of the joints made are planed out and will help me while I'm learning... The other question I have is what type of lift would anyone recommend. At a woodworking show I saw the side winder from woodpeckers. I liked it but I'm not sure whats out there.

Any Help would be appreciated

Buying a commercially-made table will get you going quickly, but it's also a good learning experience to build your own. (You might still want to use the Incra system for the fence.)

I'd suggest thinking about what you want to do on the table first. If the objective is to make small boxes, edge-form stock for projects, and the like, a small-medium-sized router may be sufficient. If, however, you plan to do a lot of raised panel doors with large-diameter bits, a variable-speed 3 1/4hp router is the norm. In that case, a lift may be convenient. Otherwise, it's really optional.
