Default Weekend upgrades!

Well actually, I started on one upgrade during the week.

New drawer under workbench to store router bits and other router paraphernalia. Not finished completely. Going to clear coat it all.

And then, my good Wife knew I needed a new and better shop vac, so she bought me this one, as a belated Fathersday gift. I love this woman!! ;o) She also got me a couple additional attachements. Like the floor attachment. Talk about better to vac the floor, rather then sweep. Don't need to open up the shop and wear a mask! LOL

Thanks Warren! Hey, did you get the one on sale at Lowes? I looked at it a few days ago and was going to buy that one. But I didn't like that you couldn't get a crevis tool for it. Looked like they didn't make one for the size hose that the unit used. Plus I think it was only a 4 gallon unit, if I'm not mistaken? This Ridgid is a 6 gallon, and it didn't come with the crevis tool, but they did have one to buy. I bought a few extra attachments also. Like the floor sweeper. It worked really well! Was a bit concerned about one thing, but it seems to work fine this way. It's the first shop vac that the top part (the motor section) and the container doens't seal tight. When the unit is turned off, and the top snapped in place, there's like a 1/8 play between the two halves. But when you turn it on, it seals and doesn't come apart. Pretty weird though. Worked good it's first go round, and I think it's even quieter then my 1 gallon unit!!

No Lee I did not buy it, the one I looked at would not fit where I wanted it to on my router table... I still have my big shop vac and yes it will clean a shop
