Default Veritas router table - bit adjustment?

OK, given your responses in my other thread I'm kind of leaning toward Lee Valley's Veritas table. It doesn't look like their bit-adjusting doodad (bit jack?) is available any more. What have others done in this situation?

If it helps, I have a Makita 3612C that'd be going on there.

I've had one of those for 10 years maybe now. I put mine in a short frame, similar to what you see in their catalog, so that I can use it as a bench top table. The frame is almost wide open so that it isn't hard to reach under and make height or bit changes. I also bought their foot switch for turning it off and on. I have used two different plunge types on it, the big Freud and the big Hitachi. It would be a little hard with a rack and pinion height adjustment. The router and table top together are fairly heavy so you probably won't want to lift the top out or tilt it to make changes.
It only takes a minute to install or remove a router as advertised and the top is quite literally bulletproof.

Someone I consider a master woodworker once told me that a master woodworker is not someone who never makes mistakes. He is someone who is able to cover them up so that no one can tell.
