Default Dust collection ???

Finally getting some time off from Work. New project will take a lot of use with the Router table some off the table too. I have a "garage shop " shared with my second love , my motorcycle, .I am looking for a dust collection to use .
Small maybe one I move from machine to machine. The bike and mama's car go out while I work but storage during non use is tight. Thanks in advance and Happy Thanksgiving .

For dust collection: the bigger the better. So I add a 1.5hp & it did the job until I had no fun to do it(move to tool to tool). So I got a big cyclone. This will not reply to your question but it fun to look at it.

Completely off topic: About your second love...

Hi Bob - with a small garage shop you may be locked into a shop vac type situation. Problem is, time you get one big enough to be effective you are about the same $$ that Harbor Freight dust collector. With a router table, table saw and a planer, you will likely need one 6+ HP, which will give you around 200CFM. Not likely to work on multiple machines but should handle any one of them individually. Then the issue becomes changing bags out.

The problem with experience is I usually get it immediately after I need it.

Default What DC System?

Go with the Harbor Frieght 2HP Model... hands down!

With the regular 20% Off coupons, you can get one for $151.00 (Regularly $189!). It's on wheels and will go where you want it too. If you want to "beef it up" later, you can buy a can filter to replace the 5 mic bag and place chip collector between it and your tool to keep your filter (or bag) clean and unclogged.

Good luck,
Bob

HI

I will 2nd Bob's post, I have had one for just over 7 years I was lucky and got it 139.oo back then, the wheels are nice but I'm sure you have a corner that it will just fit in..you can hang it on the wall very easy..it comes with a 6" hose from the blower to the bag can, it's easy job to make that part longer so can hang it on the wall and out of the way..I don't have 4" pipe all over the shop I just drag the hose to the tool that needs one,it comes with a 4" Y Apt. and run one hose to the router table and one more to the saw most of the time but the band saw is near so I just pull it off router table and put it on the band saw when I use it...no big deal..
I have about 80ft of 2 1/2" hose so I can use it on the truck and car when it's clean out time for them in the drive way.. just like at a car wash.. but better it's free so to speak ,the HF will suck the chrome right off the bumper LOL or all the change from under the seat and all the french fries ..

The HF is a good tool and a great buy..
