Default Saw Ext. table

The Router Table Depot has designed an extension table that has no compatable Lift.

They advertise an extension table with a 9" X 12" X 3/4" insert, however the ONLY Router Lift in the 9" X 12" configuration (The Rousseau Router Lift 3000LS) comes with a 3/8" plate.

Who are they building for, or what am I missing?

It's probably not designed for a lift at all, just for folks who want a baseplate mounted router. 3/4 inch thick is a little beefy for a baseplate, but to each his own. Maybe the extra depth is to allow levelers or something.

Which table are you referring to? There are 2 of them.
The contractor ext. has a 3/8" insert.
You have to order the insert for the Bench Dog. Also 3/8".
With either one, you could mount any lift.

For the money they're asking for them, $170 and $300 + insert, I would think a dozen times before buying. I'm of the "make it yourself" camp.
