Mounting Ryobi RE600 in router table

I have an old ryobi re600 which I'm mounting to a Rousseau Base Plate in my router table. I also have one of the Rousseau Centering Kits. Unfortunately my router doesn't have the 1/4" Bit Adapter which I need to use with the centering pin. I started a thread in the classifieds to see if anyone has a bit adapter, but I thought I'd ask here to see if anyone might have a "fix" for my situation.

Another collet may fit
I purchased a HF plunge router a few years ago. It came with only a 1/2 inch collet.
I purchased a Craftsman a few months ago which came with 1/2 and 1/4 inch.
I tried the 1/4 inch in the HF router and it fit so I used it a couple of times with no problems. I then ordered a new 1/4 inch from Sears parts to keep specifically for the HF which I have mounted in a table top.

If you have friends or know of others locally that have routers, you may want to check with them and see if they have a 1/4 inch collet that will fit your machine. The inside of my shaft is straight 1/2 inch so I only had to worry about the threads fitting.
