Default Does MCLS Powerlift only work with the plate that it is pre-mounted to?

Would like to buy an MCLS Powerlift, but site says it is "pre-mounted" to a 1/4" thick aluminum router table insert (9-1/32" x 12-1/16"). I would like to use it with my Bench Dog ProMax RT that has a hole that measures 8-1/4" x 11".

It the "pre-mounted" MCLS Powerlift permanently attached to the router table insert, or can it be "dismounted" and attached to the smaller router plate?

Hi Upton.
I have been using a Powerlift for a good year, and it does work.
As for the router plate insert, it is an integral part of the Powerlift, and should not be removed. You will need to use a router table with the insert size of 9x12. You may have to use a template to rout out a smaller table size, or make your own table using the MLCS template.
Hope that helps with your decision, and have fun.
Mark
