Talking Can you improve an Oak Park table....

I am in the process of making a router table jig as per Bill Hylton's video:

Dovetail Joinery with a Router - YouTube

I though I might try and lower the mounting plate on the OP table so that the jig does not catch on the lip.

I used a 3/8 rabbeting bit to lower the lip by about 1/8" and used a 1/2" straight bit to clean up the corners.

I was a little bit too low , so set 16 small screws into the lip as fine adjusting guides.

Serves me right.....
