Default skill 1820

Just received a Skil 1820 plung router, wanting to build a table for it. But it looks like the base won't allow bit to come out far enough. Can I get a fixed base that will work better.

Welcome to the forum, Michael.

If you remove the sub base plate and use a 1/4" insert plate, you should be OK with most cutters.

I believe a combo kit was available, so you should be able to obtain a fixed base for that router.

I have that extension. It works well. You have to tap it to remove the bit when done. As the reviews show many didn't know this.
