Default Sommerfeld Router bits

I am about to make some bath vanity cabinets for my son and his wife and need to buy cope & stile and raised panel bits. Does anyone have experience with or opinions on Sommerfeld bits or sets? Thanks

There are no mistakes . . .only design changes!

Hi Stutsmd

I have one or two of his sets,, The one I like is the

Junior Raised Panel Set
http://www.sommerfeldtools.com/list.asp?d=86&p=1

They are just the right size for bath vanity cabinets..
It's a neat way to make cabinets and doors , I would rate the bits at 5 stars out of 5 stars...

I also have a box thing and I realy like the box they come it... so much I order about 10 extra boxes LOL ....

LOL... That is funny Bob... box freak .. me too! I just got his catalog. You mentioned that Junior Raised panel set. I am thinking about getting that one for some small chests as gifts next year. Neat stuff!

Hi Corey

I got the set for the mini grandfather clock, that is still on the back burner and I hope to get done this year MAYBE ,,,but I use the set to make some other doors and they came out great, because most of the time the 3/4" stock is not a true 3/4" thick...and the max 11/16 "was just right size...most of the bits I have are sharp but this set is extra sharp,so sharp you can't run your finger down the blade without getting a bit of blood..and that's after I used them to make some doors...great bits...

It's funny I was moving some bits around today and I pulled this set to one side just to take a look at them on the bench,,,you know me I just got to play with my toys..
and I must have opened and closed the box 30 times or so ...I do like the boxes..

Hi Don.
I use Sommerfeld bits for making doors & other joinery. They are excellent quality. I would use the regular door bits for a vanity. I think the junior set would be out of scale for a bath vanity. Here is a couple of bath vanities & a cabinet installed above the toilet area using the Sommerfeld bits.
