Default table top

I'd like to build a new router table top and there has to be a lot of plans out there with ''don't forget to add this". If you have a plan with a novice in mind, please share.
Thank you,
John

Hi John. The best router table is the one you build yourself.
For plans, try looking in :http://www.routerforums.com/project-plans-how/
I'm sure you'll find some plans there. Also, other members have posted pics an how-to's about their tables in other threads. Do some searching and you'll find many, many answers to questions you may have.

I agree with what Ken said. The best one is the one you build. The place to start is how your going to mount your router to the RT top. Once your got that figured out the rest is all about cabinetry. I used some plans from an old ww magazine. Did not build it according to those plans but it gave me a place to start designing my own. Good luck with your endeavor.

Hey, John. My router table started out as a chest of drawers. About half way through building it I decided to make it into a router table. It's strictly up to you what to put on your table. Just do a little research to find out what you want depending on what you will be using the table for.
