Default Exotic wood again

Some time ago I got quite a discussion going about green poplar?? with my thread about sources for exotic wood. From this debate came a suggestion from Dan in Van that I try my local Timber Town which I did. Their desk person put me onto Black Forest Wood Products so I gave them a visit. When I walked through the door, for me Aladdin's cave paled into insignificance compared to this place. They have every kind and dimension of wood that I would ever want to work with. From dining table top size slabs down to twelve inch pieces, all priced by the piece. They will cut a piece off a ten foot plank, saw and plane it to the dimensions you require. Despite my small purchase they treated me as if I was a valued customer, which I already know I will become. Great outcome, Thanks Forum. Oldrusty.

Al, this is exactly why we ask members to fill out their profile with a location... so we can steer them to the best available deals and suppliers.

"...came a suggestion from Dan in Van that I try my local Timber Town..."
Glad to have helped, even though I've never heard of Timber Town.

Sorry Dan. It was Windsor Plywood you suggested trying. The outcome was the same anyway. Thanks. Al
