Default What do you do with a office cubical desk...

Turn it into a router table. It's 24" x 36 " - 1 1/4" thick. Formica top and sides. Even the aluminum angle is recycled. The only cost in it was the track. I modeled it after my Grizzly table. Sorry about the quality. Taken with my cell phone.

Haven't decided on a base yet. Still need to buy some knobs for it, and cut out the base plate hole yet. But when i get it all done, I'm going to give it away to a friend who can't afford one. Don't need two tables.

This would have been the week that I'd have finished chewing thru the restraints...

Looks almost identical to mine. These tops can be had for a few dollars at office furniture stores, sometimes even for free in their dumpsters.

Very nice. It's also very plain and uncomplicated... a good thing in my opinion. Your friend should get years of enjoyment out of it.
