Default Rotala my new electronic controlled router table

Hi It's been a lot of time I started my complicated router table (1 year) I thought it could be already done ... but it's not.
I start to post my progress and in the meanwhile here is what I have done.
My Idea is to control the movements with Arduino and two stepper motors, one for the fence and the other for the height control. The router is also titling so I will have an angle readout on the display.
The motor will be a chinese water cooled spindle with inverter (very quite).

Looks interesting Sergio.

Someone I consider a master woodworker once told me that a master woodworker is not someone who never makes mistakes. He is someone who is able to cover them up so that no one can tell.

Clever idea Sergio, are you still in the drawing phase or have you begun fabricating? I'd be interested in the stability of the router within the axises, how is the height, tilt or swivel locked?

Well, the machine is not complete at the moment as I made some changes from the first prototipe, I finally ultimeted the design process and I'm assembling the pieces .... unfortunately (or fortunately :-) ) I have a lot of other things to do so I'm very slow .... I think 1 or two weeks and the V2 will be almost ready (a good project is never finished ... sombody said :-) ).
Here a cople of picture of the first prototype ... there are some videos of the test of the electronic ... but as a newbie here I cannot post the links ....

Ronald, there are different way to lock the various movements:
the height is "self" locking, the trapezoidal screw is somewhat self locking, but with the addition of the stepper motor wich as an holding torque there is no way to move it without electronic command (tested).
The fence as the same sistem but a mechanical rapid lock at the extremes will be added to have more rigidity on the side.
The rotation axis will have some friction locks and also a mechanical lock at a certain most used angles (similar to miter saw). I think (still not tested) that for the friction lock I will use a bicycle caliper disk brake ...
