3/4 Inch Cove Router Bit Recommendations

846 Views 6 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  JIMMIEM
I need an inexpensive 3/4 Cove Router bit for a one-time project. I usually by premium bits but don't want to spend a lot on this one. Would prefer 1/2 inch shank.
I'll be using it on the router table so don't necessarily need a bearing on the bit.

Would appreciate recommendations. Thank You

I've been very satisfied with several "Yoniko" brand bits on E-Bay.
Router bits and a one-time project don't often go hand-in-hand.

Hi John,
Yonico didn't have a cove bit in the diameter that I need but they did have a box core bit in the diameter that I need. As I will be using it to cut an edge profile and using a router table and fence this should do exactly what I need. The Yonico bits got some really good reviews and the bit I got was very reasonably priced.
Thank You again for the tip.

The very first "yellow bit" I bought years ago served me well (and still does) so I got others, then more, then more. So all of my out-dated (and unbranded) used up bits either get donated or tossed into a tupperware container for possible future use to be "repurposed".
Let us know how your project turns out !!
Welcome, and I have also had nice results with a Yonico mortising bit. I have been looking at the bit set for making picture frame stock.

I got the Yonico bit and used it today. Did an excellent job.
Thanks again for recommending.
