It likely to be a standard right hand twist.
I'd love to see a photo of the shaft end in question. That sounds like an accessory that I haven't seen before (not that Iv'e seen all that many).

That's an accessory coping spindle. I'll get pictures.

I made a lot of furniture using that little shaper in years past. Even though I've got a Powermatic 26 shaper now, I do miss some of the conveniences that little 43-110 offered.

There's a nut at the bottom of the spindle. Loosen that nut and the accessory spindle lifts out.

You'll likely need a regular 43-935 spindle as shown in the manual I gave a link to. Advertising on owwm.org for a spindle is likely to turn up one.

The wood box set is a cope and stick set for that shaper. The coping spindle came with it.
