Hey, Fred; welcome! No criticism, just curious...how come the wood duckboards? If for comfort only, wouldn't rubber matting have been easier?
You'll be hearing comments 'suggesting' you implement dust control sooner rather than later... :)

Hi again Fred. On the bit storage at the front of the bench thing, I use my leading bench edge for clamping down to, a lot. That'd be almost impossible if I had anything in the way along the front. I also like to clamp a bit of scrap down, as a stop block when I'm using the belt sander. Especially for large pieces like plywood gables, which pretty much span the whole bench width...those bits'd be gone in a flash! :)
On the duckboards; how about putting a tapered threshold along the long side? At least you wouldn't trip on it.
