You can find drill bit stop collars in sets, for those of us without a CNC. Amazon.com : woodriver drill bit stop collars 7 piece set
I like that drill press a lot, but the threaded rod stop does take a little time. Sometimes I'll raise or lower the table til the bit is close to the right depth, then set the stop to fine tune it.
