A German Polish Eagle

1241 Views 7 Replies 6 Participants Last post by  honesttjohn
While at the last Polish Festival I had a rather large biker guy stop abruptly, pull his sleeve up, and flex his biceps (which were bigger than my thighs), and said "see this" - revealing a tatoo of a Polish eagle with a shield painted with Germany's colors. At least it wasn't a friend of an unhappy customer. Whew! He said "If you can make this I'll buy 2 of the large (24" across) ones." One for is elderly folks who were from Poland and Germany - and one for himself.

Happy little, I mean big, camper left this morning. My Scottart painting lessons are paying off already.

There are a lot of variations on the Eagle design. Here's a link to Wiki's page on the topic. Lots of pix on the bottom. Some are double headed. Austria has some beauties. Maybe you could expand to other nationalities? And some of them will benefit from your new painting skills.

Looks good John. You might consider making one or two for display with different flags and it might generate some more special orders.

Hey John, make samples, but add a card to each that tells exactly what it stands for and what country it comes from.

Was thinking of doing a couple with the red and white Polish colors, but to make others would be a gamble since they would have to match the customers' nationalities.
