Wow what a horrific story. Sure glad you have fully recovered.
I am in the process of building a 6 intersection T-track table. Being a conservative guy I used both screws and epoxy glue. Mistake! At the intersections the mitered ends of the T-trac "pushed" the glue to the mitered joint. Very difficult to clean up. The table top is 3/4" material and 3/8" screws are more that sufficient.
